I am trying to create a viewing window that straddles the 180 meridian. Specifically I want to view the area either side of the Fiji Islands. I find I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to create viewing regions that have a western boundary near the east coast of Australia and an eastern boundary near the Cook Islands. Anyone know how to handle this?

I posted my original message a month ago, and despite a lot of views, I have had no responses. I have had no response either from an email sent to the grib-us team. I take it then that it is not possible to view an area which straddles the 180 meridian. Shame, a pretty basic flaw in what is otherwise a nice software package.

I agree with Fijiaussie.

Not much point in using the program if this bug continues.

When will the bug be fixed? Otherwise I will have to use other software.

Any suggestions??

Hi,

This software is given away completely free and we hope it continues to be as popular as it has to date.  The anti-meridian view 'bug' is well known to us and is fixed in our commercial versions.

It will be released into the Public Free version as soon as our development schedule allows it.  We do not have a specific timeframe for this but would expect it to be within this coming month.

This is great news. I wasn't aware that the bug was known, or had been fixed in the commercial versions. I look forward to seeing the new release with this bug fixed. I checked today, without success, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
