Lots of great features, clear graphics and direct access to the GRIB.US servers. Ugrib allows you to view our data right on your own desktop.

Now available for free download on our downloads page

Excellent software and a joy to use.

One thing would be great would be the ability to export the map view, meteogram and animations as gifs.

Thanks very much for your positive feedback; we are pleased to be moving in the right direction. We are also very keen to keep listening to our users; so we thank you for your suugestion.

We personally prefer the use of PNG files to GIF's which are better in almost all respects apart from the lack of animation facilities. Are you thinking that you would like the animation as a single animated GIF or a set of individual images ?

We have added the export of the meteogram to our 'to do' list and will include it in a future version as soon as the development cycle allows.

Yours sincerely,

The GRIB.US team

Thanks for a nice program. Very easy to use.One thing I miss is the ability to select metric or nautical units. F.ex. I prefer windspeed in metres/sec instead of knots. Also, a legend showing what all symbols mean (I'm new to GRIB so this may be something "all" other know :-) )

Hi folks,

first of all, let me thank you again for fixing the problem with the download.

Apart from the suggestions already made elsewhere regarding the insertion of longitudes and latitudes and for the sake of the blue water sailors amongst us, I suggest that you include important geographical features in the map, eg: cities & towns, significant rivers, mountains as well as other special landmarks in order to enable users to orientate themselves more easily in unknown teritories.

The programme you provide is far superior to the likes of sailmail etc. Thanks again for job well done.

Regards

Kai
