Protocol Error

Having the same problem logging on, have reinstalled Ugrib, but still cannot get download of information, Keeps coming up with cannot connect to server. protocol error. Am running Windows XP and connect wirelessly. Is it possible that the Network controller is blocking the service. What does Protocol Error mean.. Help

yep, AGAIN ....

was having this problem for some time and then all turned normal again for about a week, this morning I needed some gribs for new sailors coming on our way but the PROTOCOL-error surfaced again

as I understood something was done on the u-grib-server(s), mayby we need another reset ?

anyway it is not a problem on the users--machines

feeling more and more disappointed hereprotocol error keeps popping up have not been able to load gribs for almost 2 weeks again ...why this problem keeps coming again ? anyone else having the same troubles ??greetzbas

I am having same problem, since I installed IE8. Really don't know if any relation but since then, the UGrib don't open and appears a message saying that UGrib ebcountered an error and go to close.

This keeps happening, and no advice from UGRIB! I get protocol errors. Thought it might be to do with using a proxy server but turning that off does not fix the problem. Anyone out there found a way around this?
